Just remember to tear the label off of the bottle. You can drink water during exam or break. According to some guy I know at ETS, you account will be marked "red" for anyone who don't get their scores successfully, and those account will be monitored during next exam. If you have taken at-home once and due to some issues, you did not finish your exam, or didn't get your score, or got your score cancelled, I recommend you not to try another time. ETS customer service is like non-exist, when they remember to reply to your mail, you may have already finished your PHD. If your exam was interrupted or due to some issues you cannot go on with your exam and the Proctor tells you to reach out to ETS, just register for another exam. Make sure there is no glass walls in your room like some offices. Make sure your phone will not make any noice during your test, or you will definitely not get your score. It is even okay for you to relaunch the computer, only if you got the permission from proctor. I got stuck out twice during my Jan exam but I still got my score. It is highly likely that you got stuck out of the exam.

Mac system will require a lot of permissions to run the test and this would be time-consuming during the test day. I took once on the Independence Day last year and I waited 1 hour for the proctor to contact me and then I just gave up my exam. This is the log-in interface of ETS launcherĭo not take the exam on holidays. If the time between you double click the icon of the app and when you see the log-in page id less than 1 minute, then your connection is good to run the exam. The first time you open the app, it may take some time to install, don't worry. I can tell you a method: down load the ETS launcher (which is the browser to take the exam) in advance: Īnd run the launcher. The connection speed test of the ProctorU web page is unreliable. This will not influence his future exams but the memory will be bad.Ħ.

One of my friends took GRE in his lab and someone broke in during his exam. Make sure you lock your room during exam so no one will not interrupt you. The camera of your computer should be able to face the door of your room, which means that during test, your body should be agains the door. Uninstall all remote-control apps or teamwork apps, even if you can make sure they won't run during your exam. Actually, they just lure you to buy cheating service from them.

I don't know you, but in my area, there are many "at-home" test centers claiming that they offer free or cheap at-home devices and places. ETS claims that you can't use a place that have held at-home tests many times. And, yes, do not lend your device to others to take at-home test.Īlso, do not go to places where other people have taken at-home test before. Of course, if the device is used only by yourself many times, that's ok. It is officially claimed by ETS that we cannot use common devices to take the at-home test. If you have to use others, make sure that device has never been used for at-home test, GRE or TOEFL. (Some tips are told by my friends and tutor.) These are some experience and tips I can share with you. I took GRE at-home this Jan and successfully got my score after 12 days.
